Mirazur is world's best restaurant 2019.

Chef Mauro Colagreco and his team at Mirazur have been awarded world’s best restaurant in a ceremony held in Singapore last night.

The chef (whom we have had the pleasure to meet at last year’s Restaurant Show – picture below) said he felt like he was “in the sky” after winning the award, which “showed the world when you have a dream all is possible”.

The Mirazur menu is said to be inspired by the sea and mountains near Menton, in the South of France on the border with Italy.

He describes his cuisine as “a culinary encounter, punctuated by the seasons and the producers of our region, the flavours of our gardens and the Mediterranean sea”.

Congratulations also to the two UK based restaurants, The Clove Club, 27th place and Lyle’s 33rd place.
