After a very long year of “staying-in” we are finally allowed to start looking forward to “what’s next”.
Days are getting longer, the temperature a little milder and we are just one step away from being able to (sensibly) dining out again.
Gastropub Park Tavern, in leafy and green Southfields, in South West London will be reopening its…garden tables, on 12th April. The gastropub has undergone a major refurbishment during the last lockdown and their beer gardens are looking not just great and inviting, but are also making us dream of balmy evenings sipping an ice cold beer with family and friends, while tucking in one of their glorious sharing BRAAI platters.
Their menu is strongly focused on South African flavours, and so is their extensive wine list with plenty of by-the-glass options too.
Expect full flavoured and soft Pinotage from Swartland Winery, with aromas of smokey vanilla and cloves, ideal to accompany one of their succulent steaks from the wood fire.
Chef Rodrigo Navarro, heads up the kitchen and the BRAAI confidently and with an incredible modest flare.
His talent with infusing the meats with rich and intense South African flavours is second to none.
Park Tavern will reopen, for outdoor tables bookings only, on 12th April. Their popular click & collect and delivery order will also resume then.
